Mountain Rescue Group Resource

CoCoSAR team members on the Mountain Rescue Group Resource (MRG) are Type 1 searchers, specially trained and prepared to deploy anywhere in the state of California, in all seasons, conditions and elevations to assist with search and rescue operations.

MRG is dedicated to developing the skills, fitness and experience of its members and ensuring that searchers can meet the challenges of all missions. Physical fitness and the ability to handle difficult terrain are key characteristics of MRG members, who may be asked to go off trail and/or spend nights in the wilderness as part of their search efforts.
