Mokelumne River Search
On August 13, 2000 the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Search and Rescue Team
participated in a mutual aid search on the Mokelumne River for evidence
related to a multiple homicide investigation.
Search teams were
transported up river by boat.
Much of the search
area consisted of rock levees like the one in the background of this photo.
A long day of hiking on the loose rock is hard on the knees.
Divers from the Marin County Sheriff's Office search for additional evidence
in the river.
One of the boat drivers remarked that Delta boaters weren't used to seeing the
'Diver Down' flag.
Heading back to
the command post at the marina after completing an assignment.
A deputy sheriff
on a Sea Doo heads back as well. The Sea Doos assisted with traffic control
near the dive areas on the busy Delta waterways and provided an additional
search platform.
